Welcome to Comickers!

What are we?
We're a group looking to feature all sorta of sequential art from all around the world!

What do we want to feature?
ANY sort of sequential art (comic PAGES) from manga to indie comics, zine pages to superhero comics, any sort of SEQUENTIAL ART is welcome, be it self published, webcomic, just for fun or professional.

We accept any type of pages, just make sure you submit them to the right gallery folder. However we want a certain degree of skill, so the pages will go through a vote. Don't get discouraged in case you get rejected, and remember, if you want any type of criticism or feedback you can submit pages to the Critique Folder.

Also a clarification : If you want to submit a title page or a splash page, make sure you add some sequential work in there also, or it will be rejected. An example would be making a spread with your title/splash on one side and an actual comic page/sequential art on the other.

What are we not looking for?
Stand alone pin-ups or illustrations of comic book characters, fanart or OCs. We want comic PAGES, actual sequential art. If you submit a title page or a splash page without any other sequential work it will be rejected.

We welcome ALL comickers, from hobby artists to professionals, we want to run the gammet of storytelling in a sequential format! So please don't think this club is just for manga pages or just for American comic pages, it's for all PAGES!
We've been getting a lot of complaints about this lately, so I'll try to clarify things a bit for everyone so we can hopefully spend less time creating drama and drawing more comics.

.1 The critique corner folder.

The idea behind it was that the group members, and by this I do not mean just the mods, would go through that folder and give feedback to the artists there.  In this way it wouldn't just be the mods helping out fellow comickers, it would be the whole group helping each other out. The group only has 4 active mods, some more busy than others, so you can't expect us to criticize every single piece out there.

Anything submitted there will be accepted regardless of skill level. If you'd like critiques than help the group out by going through the critique folder and leaving feedback to other artists, maybe in return you will also get a critique as well.

.2 About rejected submissions:

If anyone asks us why a page was refused they will most likely get an answer, but remember, if you can't handle critique DO NOT ask us why it was refused. It's very discouraging to get people ragequit the group, or answer badly to a mod.

Most of us aren't students, we are adults with a busy life. I for example, take some time typing something because English is not my main language, but we still try to explain the reasons why something was declined because we want to help other comickers grow.
So again, if you'd like some feedback on why your page was refused then ask, but accept it like it is, constructive criticism. No one wants you to ragequit anything, we just want to help you grow as an artist to the best of our abilities. No one is out to get you or make you quit art, on the contrary.

Also a lot of stuff gets rejected because people don't read the rules. So read it before submitting, and please don't ragequit the group because of it :/ (yes, it has happened often, people ragequit because their submission went against group rules and got declined).

3. Looking for mods:
The group could really use more active mods. If you have experience drawing comics, webcomics, doujins, can you please drop me a note with a link to your sequential work? I and the group will go through the candidates and invite some new mods then, hopefully.

Again, I ask for people with experience, please be understanding.

And the reason [link] was declined again? I'm pretty sure I put it in the critique folder. Was it too sexy?

I'm not sure why it was rejected from the critique folder. You can try submitting it again, but remember you can only submit one work for critique per month! : )

Thank you, I will :-)

I don't believe the 1 per month is mentioned anywhere. And now that I'm looking, the 2 per week for the other folders isn't mentioned in the FAQ either. That might be handy to include :-)

Yes, it was a recent change because our admins have been very busy lately. Hopefully, it'll be updated when there's time!

I'm showing in the logs that you withdrew the submission from moderation for the critique folder (it says "withdrawn"). Otherwise the vote was 2 to accept with a 3rd vote unable to be cast

Darn, I must have resubmitted to the wrong folder after withdrawing it.

I resubmitted so it would be next to the newest page in the queue. Sometimes they get approved newest first and sometimes it's days before the proper next page gets approved if they aren't submitted together.

Sorry to cause the extra work :-/

well
For me it was the lack of readability
Maybe if you organize your panels and information a little bit more it will be ok

I personally voted to accept it. Hopefully the other mods can answer your question!
